Mark Cunningham serves as the Vice President of Communications for the Libertas Network where he manages the communications team. Prior to joining Libertas, Mark worked at the Beacon Center of Tennessee for the past 11 years, where he served as Vice President for Strategy and Communications. He acted as the chief spokesperson and head of media relations for the organization, helping to make Beacon the most heard and seen organization in the state of Tennessee, and was the founder of the Beacon Poll, a statewide poll which has garnered thousands of major national and statewide media hits, leading to over $100 million in earned media.
Prior to working at Beacon, Mark worked on the communications team at the Charles Koch Institute in Arlington, Virginia, and has also managed political campaigns in Pennsylvania.
In addition to free markets, Mark loves watching all major sports, which includes cheering for the Utah Jazz and Marquette basketball. He is also the biggest defender of the rock group Nickelback in the country.
Mark received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
