Education Empowerment

Parents, students, and teachers are clamoring for more options in education. Yes, most parents will continue to choose their public school, but when public education isn’t a good fit for a student, parents will be able to find an education that does.
Parents and students should be the ones who decide which educational fit is the best. When they are given this choice, parents and students are more satisfied with their education.
“A student's parent is the primary person responsible for the education of the student, and the state is in a secondary and supportive role to the parent.”
Utah has a chance to lead the way in 2023 with education choice. The work put in by parents, lawmakers, and groups like Education Opportunity for Every Child, Utah Fits All, Libertas, and AFP Utah is coming together.
Some teachers fear what will happen to their local school if an education choice bill passes in Utah. How justified are these fears in reality?
Yes, unbundling education does take more effort from the parents. But the payoffs are worth it. The students are happy and love learning. And the result is a child passionate about their own self-improvement.
