Connecticut should be applauded for the recent adoption of these compacts.
Despite having a large medical infrastructure, Utah is struggling to meet the health care needs of its residents. Much of this inability can be attributed to a lack of healthcare workers able to provide patient care within the state. 
In a state where the free market is seen as a point of pride, alcohol continues to be treated as the boogie man, such that responsible adults are regarded by the state as unable to control themselves and their own drinking habits. This year, the hot topic was whether Utahns should be allowed to ship wine directly to their homes. Sounds pretty trivial, right? Wrong.
This bill would allow for the creation of an insurance sandbox in the state of Utah.
