Utah’s universal sandbox is continually pushing the boundaries of what a state can achieve with proactive regulatory programs. What’s next under this newly minted component of the sandbox will be sure to surprise and inspire other states to follow suit in the coming years.
Fortunately, this year Utah’s legislature passed SB 106, sponsored by Senator Curt Bramble, to amend the law and take cold plunges out of the public pool regulatory requirements.
These types of innovations have the potential to help millions of people in the future as we get better at farming, especially in harsh conditions of the world where people struggle to survive.
Utahns need not fear proposals to build nuclear power plants near or in Utah. Caution is always warranted and healthy, but as most Utahns now agree, it should not override human progress and flourishing carte blanche.
