This bill expands access for telehealth services to Utahns have more options.
Despite having a large medical infrastructure, Utah is struggling to meet the health care needs of its residents. Much of this inability can be attributed to a lack of healthcare workers able to provide patient care within the state.
The bill will create a group of medical and legal professionals to study the legitimacy of psychotherapy drugs for mental health.
Senate Bill 41, from Senator Luz Escamilla, ensures Utahns retain access to telehealth services for mental health care and passed the Legislature with resounding support. Governor Cox signed the bill into law on March 2nd.
