Children, especially young children, learn through play. But focusing on standardized assessments limits play in schools.
It’s easy to imagine worst-case scenarios with new technologies. For example, the popular Netflix series Black Mirror shows the weaponization of such innovations. But you don’t have to rely on fiction to see what these systems would look like in the real world.
Don’t leave your kids bored or unchallenged or overlooked in an education system that isn’t a good fit for them. Choose an education for your family and your kids that leads them to success.
Most learning happens outside of school. So if you feel that your child isn’t learning or doesn’t fit into the formal classroom, remember — you have options.
