Libertas Institute Submits Comments Opposing NLRB Joint Employer Rule Making

This week, Libertas Institute submitted comments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) opposing its Notice of Proposed Rule Making titled, “Standard for Determining Joint-Employer Standard.” 

The NLRB’s proposed rule will hurt small businesses and franchises alike who rely on the clarity of the existing rule to determine joint employment. Removing the clarity that the existing rule provides, and adding indirect control to the list of vague elements used to prove joint employment, will only complicate employment relationships and lead to fewer opportunities for workers.
