The legal precedents set by the Supreme Court and countless state-level rulings suggest parents in Utah will remain free to choose what is best for their children’s education after all.
Our research has consistently shown that supply and demand is the biggest factor in our ongoing housing crisis. However, this is still a short version of a bigger story.
Students must carefully evaluate their options and think about what is best for them before deciding to enroll in college. Higher education is not the only way and there are many interesting alternatives.
This new law, sponsored by Sen. Fillmore, diminishes barriers and reaffirms education empowerment. This new step represents an excellent opportunity for parents, children and teachers to innovate and improve education.
Do not let these myths make you lose focus on what is important: an educational environment where every student, teacher, and parent has the opportunity to choose what is best for them.
Rather than lower expectations, children can succeed if we move expectations to fit their learning style. For example, there's more than one way to teach a visual learner how to do complex math. We simply need to meet them where they're at.
