Dr. Terry Sellers admits, “It is indeed likely that... psilocybin could become a valuable intervention” but thinks the time is “not yet.” Waiting is not always the safe play. It certainly isn’t with psilocybin.
Unfortunately, in many places across the country a criminal record, even if the crime happened long ago or was minor in nature, can be an impediment to employment.
Instead of limiting access to social media, we need to focus on education and empowerment, providing minors and their parents with the skills and judgment they need to navigate the online world and interact with their peers in and outside of Utah.
I’m agnostic when it comes to what a child is taught. I am not agnostic when it comes to who decides. In order for parents to decide, we need to allow all of the choices to exist.
This shift will ensure that only the most qualified workers are allowed to work, rather than just those who have been able to navigate the bureaucratic licensing process.
